Celebrate OBW with a Boat Ride, Meal & Drinks at Burr Oak State Park!

Burr Oak Getaways has partnered with Burr Oak Lodge & Conference Center to bring you a fun and peaceful afternoon at Burr Oak State Park.

Climb aboard, sit back and relax as we take you for a scenic ride around Athens’ northernmost beauty, Burr Oak Lake. During this 1.5 hour pontoon ride, your interpretive tour guide will treat you to some little-known facts about the valley before the lake was created. 

The pontoon will make stops at Dock #1, Dock #2, Dock #4 and the Lodge Docks/Boat Ramp to pick up tour guests. 

PRO TIP: Guests with mobility issues — or those just wanting to avoid walking up the large hill in front of the Lodge — may park at the Lodge Boat Ramp to board the pontoon.

Immediately following the cruise, the boat will dock at Burr Oak Lodge where you will head to the picturesque Cardinal Dining Room & Bar for a meal paired with beers from Ohio craft breweries, including Weasel Boy Brewing from Zanesville, OH.

Your meal options are as follows:
• Smoked Brisket Sandwich, topped with Cole Slaw, Sweet & Spicy Joe Sauce, Cheddar Cheese, Salt & Pepper Bun and served with a side of House-made Dry Rubbed Potato Chips

• Smoked Pulled Pork Sandwich, topped with Bacon, Carolina Gold BBQ, Lettuce, Tomato, Onion Straws, Salt & Pepper Bun and served with a side of House-made Dry Rubbed Potato Chips

• Vegetarian Option: Creamy Alfredo Pasta served with the Vegetable of the Day

After the meal, the pontoon will return guests to the Docks areas 1, 2 or 4 as needed. Total event-time is approximately 3.5 hours with a 1.5-hour cruise and 1.5 hour for dining.
